The Den Site

Scarlet Flicked her tail uneasily as the feeling crept over her of being watched. Her neck fur started to bristle a little and she scanned around the area with narrowed, watchful eyes to try spot the source of her nervousness.

Stella saw the other wolf looking around uneasy. She almost had a panic attack, but she managed to remain calm and lick the blood out of reopened wounds. Stella knew if she got caught if the others saw blood it was straight to the healer with her whether she liked it or not.

Night sniffed the air and smelt wolf and ... Blood. This wolf was injured. Night searched in the bushes around the. Area trying to find where the strongest scent trail was. She had no intention of hurting this wolf but only to find if they were able to survive oK on their own I needed be.

Stella was completely free of blood now and saw one of the wolves hunting around the bushes. She sunk deeper into hers and got inbetween a nest of braches where an adult wolf would probably be able to reach her but it would be harder.

Night snuffled around in the bushes and stopped dead staring at a pair of eyes coming from a small gap(Stella). Flattening her ears warily, she braced her shoulders defensively and took a step away from the eyes. "Hello?" she questioned with a curious look in her gaze.

"Oh shoot!" Stella thought "Uhh what do I do BE DEAD!" But she realized she was breathing franticly and there was no possible was she could be dead. Stella was frozen and she didn't want to say anything to this wolf, and knowing she couldn't fight her told herself if this wolf advanced closer she would run.

Night sniffed the air again and noticed that this wolf carried a soft, milky scent so was most likely young. Probably a lost pup..., she thought and took another step back showing she wasn't a threat. "Hello there..." she whispered soothingly to the little pup. "Do you want to come out of there to tell us who you are?" the female asked and wagged her tail in a friendly way. What harm could a pup do to the pack?

"IS SHE INSANE?!?!" Stella thought what pup in their right mind would want to join a pack. Well thinking backshe realized she would've done it once. "But I won't do it now." She thought "No." Stella said to the wolf. She hoped she wouldn't upset her or make her mad and want to kill her.

Night let out a sigh and sat casually back on her rump. "Ok... If that's your choice. I'll just sit here and wait until you come out." Night stated and let out a little snort. There was only one gap in the hiding place the pup had run into so only one way the pup could get in or escape out from. Night wanted to know if the pup was alright and if it's mother or/and pack were near by. If a stranger pack was near it could mean trouble for the pack of the valley of lost souls.

Stella sighed she didn't know what to do she's only a pup. She sunk farther and farther into her bush until she couldn't go any more. Stella layed herself there and watched this wolf hoping she would fall asleep or flee before Stella did.

Night flicked her tail and yawned. She felt sorry for the pup and a guilty look glazed over her eyes as she looked towards the helpless pup. "C'mon... If I get you some food will you at least tell me your name? I'll tell you mine." She added with a wink, trying to be friendly.

Stella thought for a moment and realized if this wolf went to get her food she could run. Even if the wolf realized what Stella was up to you can't do anything with a wolf's name. "Sure." Stella said She was actuall hungry but there was no way she would take food from another wolf.

Night knew exactly what this wolf was thinking. Escape. Why wasn't Riley or Rain sorting out this pup? Night bared her teeth but no snarl came out as she rose to her paws. Lashing her tail in frustration, she padded over to the place they usually burry / hide their prey and picked up a blackbird for the pup. She kept her gaze locked with the pup the whole time as she collected the food and her stance as she walked gave off an intimidating look as she padded back to the pup. She was starting to loose her patience and was a little hurt that the others had left her alone in this situation. I can chase after the pup if needs be..., she thought and rolled her shoulders.

Stella wanted to groan and complain as she realized this wolf was watching her the whole time. "Well now or never." Stella thought, and as the wolf picked up the bird Stella was out of her bush and running through the trees. Branches whipped everywhere, but she had to ignore it and keep running for her life.

Riley watched every thing and went for a new and strange approach, her lite body was easily carried as she ran to the pup, a swift movement of her head and she scooped up the pup softly in her mouth. She walked back to Night and gental held Stella in her mouth.

Finally, the fae thought bitterly as Riley turned up out of nowhere with the pup in her jaws. "What should we do with the little bundle of fur?" She asked and studied the pup. She was probably very frightened but that should teach her not to wander into another pack's territory.

Stella gasped as she was swept off of her feet by a different wolf. She had no idea what do do and she struggled to get free, but it only hurt her neck when she tried. Then she heard Night ask what they should do to her and she almost cried and whimpered, but she managed to keep herself calm.

Riley barked through the pups scruff "Relax kid." she looked at Night and took the bitter look with a growl her eyes narrowed "Excuse me." she said in a joke like fashion. She laid down and set the pup down. She licked her neck, "Now.. Can you tell us who you? And what are you doing here? We don't plan on hurting you."

Night had gone into a bitter mood and she snarled at Riley, thrashed her tail and spun away stalking off into the shelter of a tree to try calm down in it's branches. Night could easily out-size Riley in a fight - she was Fighting Leader Female after all - but if they were going to get anything out of this pup, they'd have to calm her down first.

Stella sighed she hated this "I'm Stella." she muttered. She sat down and covered her paws with her tail, and waited for whatever was going to happen. She wanted to run, but she was so exhausted from the last run and they would simply catch her again.

Riley tried to ignore Night and stay more focused, what ever Night was feeling Riley wanted it gone, she was beta and Rain was the alpha, Riley had her own little secrets and knew that if things got out of hand with Night. She pushed the thought away, she didn't want to be mean to her but she was in a higher rank, but that was hardly and escuse. Riley looked at the pup and smiled, "What a lovely name. I'm Riley." She said and then spoke again, "So what are you doing here?" she said with a kind smile.

Night was just a pair of ghostly eyes in the tree. She didn't care what rank everyone was, they all left her to do dirty work on her own. Jumping angrily down from the tree, the lean female padded over to the pup but avoided eye contact with Riley. Once finally reaching the pup, Night looked down at the so called Stella and smiled. "Has anyone ever told you you're a fast runner?" She chuckled and wagged her tail still avoiding Riley's gaze.

Stella wanted to shrink down "Uhhh I was just living and I didn't realize it was pack territoy believe me I wouldn't be here if it was." She said. Then the other wolf hopped down from the tree and asked her a question "No" Stella stated simoly she put her head down and looked at her paws. She just wanted to run and get away. Stella was the type of wolf that wanted to be independant, but she couldn't be independant.

Riley huffed as she tried to ignore Night, it would be best to let her be and find out what later. Riley looked at the pup kindly and stood up as she spoke, "Sorry for being your trouble." She seemed pained on the inside and walked away stiffly. She had a reason to be stiff, her senses were telling her that it was time she confronted her fear...

Night flicked her tail submissively. "I see no reason why this pup should stay... She brought no fight with her." Night stated bluntly and watched as Riley padded away. Is RIley limping?, Night thought to herself curiously but quickly turned her attention back to the pup. "Do what you will, but DON'T steal our prey... not that you could." Night exclaimed to the pup and she padded over to a boulder, waggled her haunches and leapt up on top of it waiting to see what Stella would do.
