Mountain Oasis

Riley pricked her ears "Not on purpose." she barked

Rain sighed and nodded, "Mm." Was all she said. She despised the other pack and them being so close was disturbing. She looked at Riley, "You are okay though right?" There was a hint of worry in her tone as she spoke.

"I could be better, I did loose I bit of blood, and my ankles or just mauled, either they heal naturally or they come off." She barks

Rain raises a brow, "Hmm." She looks back, "And what happened to your pursuer?" Rain sits down rather nervously.

"He broke his leg." she barked as she stood up, she shook her pelt with a wince, he claws clenched the ground, rock dust and gravel fell and clicked on the ground, Riley looked down at it then smiled sheepishly as if she was trying to hide somthing.... somthing valuable...

Rain sat down and looked at Riley, "Oh." She watched her and as the rocks fell off of her pelt. The sheepish grin Riley gave was suspicious, so Rain sat down and watched her. Trying to figure out whether to ask or wait.

Riley wiggled her toes as a few more pebbles fell, Riley looked away like nothing happened but she couldn't hind this from Rain forever.... could she?

Rain sat waiting, she decided to ask. "Well... I know theres something else. And it is required that you tell me." Rain sounded formal and convinced. She cocked her head, her ears flopping to the side comically.

Riley sighed "Come with me.." she shook her pelt and kicked up her heals, she walked to a rock wall and stood there.

Rain followed her quietly and looked at the wall. She said nothing and waited for Riley to explain.

Riley shook her pelt, the rock wall was straight up no ledges sticking out, Riley backed up and lunged she run up the rock wall her claws making a rock scraping sound as she scaled it, Riley got to the top and kicked off the edge landing hard on the ground because of her bloody weak ankles.

Rain looked at the wall and shook her head, "Yeah... I don't think I can do that..." She looked around, she nodded seeing a few rocks stacked, probably fallen on each other. Rain hopped up quickly and looked at Riley, "You okay?" She nudged her over, until she was sitting.

Riley nodded she wanted to explain to Rain why she could climb rock like that but it was a little harder to even if it was simple but she tried, "Rain look at my claws," she picked up a paw and flipped it over, her claw were strange they were hooked and thicker, with a needle tip.

Rain looked down and although impressed, very impressed she kept composure. "How? Why?"

"When I was a pup, my father thought i had a gift of climbing, it didn't hurt but he twisted my claws and somehow changed the shape of them." She barked "It was so I could be a scout and scout out intruders."

Rain was starting to get it and she smiled, "And you wanted to hide this from me?"

"I didn't know what you would think..." She barked

Rain smiled and sat down by Riley, "I think that it is amazing and gives you a very good advantage. Why did you think I was evil?" Rain laughed softly.

Riley laughed and put her paw down "No I didn't think your evil." She barked "I guess your right."

Rain smiled,"Oh Riley there is nothing to worry about."

Riley smiled "Thanks Rain." she nuzzled Rain.

Rain smiles, and laughs softly. She looks at the slope and stands up. Slowly she slips down the wall face and lands evenly. Rain smiles, "C'mon Riley!"

Riley smiles and follows closely by Rain.

Rain smiles, "C'mon lets go back to the den and fix you up." She nudges her towards the den.

Riley smiles "Alright, thanks." she headed torwards the den
